Hooks
✧ Shria's mother is the owner of a free company that has a house in The Mist and Shria has a room there. She can often be found wandering around or taking naps in odd places.
✧ When Shria isn't at her tribal home north of Coerthas, she keeps most of her animals in the forests of Easter La Noscea. It's not rare to see a small Au Ra trudging her way through the brush surrounded by sorts of beasts. Her coeurls had cubs that have now reached their teenage years so she can also be seen chasing them in an attempt to corral the young cats.
✧ Shria is in Limsa fairly often to shop for supplies. Sometimes one of her siblings has tagged along, but she usually goes alone and will have her hawk with her.
✧ It's possible to run into Shria and some of her animals along some of the well-traveled routes leading to and from the north.
✧ Shria will sometimes make trips to Reunion to reconnect with a few of the merchants there that had helped her when she was young and hadn't been found by her adoptive mother yet. The Xaela lived in Reunion by herself from the age of 4 to 6.

OOC
Hello!
You can call me Lavi. I go by she/her pronouns. I'm a 26 y/o living on the west coast of the US. I've been playing FFXIV since 2014. Work and RL keep me very busy (and tired), but I've been slowly working on getting back into the RP community.
I am open to just about any kind of RP aside from things that involve relationships and/or ERP. Other than that, I am always happy to shove her at new people and try new stories with her.
I am open to RPing in-game or in Discord! In-game will have to depend on my work schedule. Feel free to message me anywhere if you'd like to start something!
Interested in some of my other characters? You can find their carrds here:

Beastmaster Basics & Rules
So Square Enix doesn't want to give us beastmaster, so I've gone ahead and made my own version of it! This is purely my own take on the idea and these rules are mostly to help me keep things balanced when/if it's used in an RP setting. These are in no way meant to control how others go about playing their characters as a beastmaster. Seeing as Shria is from a Noykin bloodline, it just seemed fitting for her.
I have an entire google doc typed up with all of this info in it along with some pictures that I took inspiration from.

* Any forms that mention changes to the legs also mean that the shape of them become more animalistic/digitigrade.*
1. Shria’s ability to take on various forms is due to a mix of borrowing aether from the creatures and her close bond with them after years of training/raising them. The aether is taken from small "tokens" (i.e - fur, feathers, etc.) or directly from the animal themselves if they are within reach.2. No one taught Shria how to use this technique, so it’s not perfect and accidents can happen. She will improve over time with practice and refinement.3. Partial forms allow her to defend herself and take advantage of some of their traits even if the animal isn’t close by. Obviously, 2 giant coeurls can’t follow her everywhere.4. The creature MUST be present if she wants to use a full form due to the amount of aether required to do it.5. Shria has enough aether to spare to use magic, but not enough to be a caster by herself. She also prefers hand-to-hand combat. Having her animals there with her allows her to do a mix of both by borrowing the animal’s aether.6. If she does decide to use a full form, she needs to be careful about how long she keeps it up and how much magic she uses. Otherwise, she will end up with aether exhaustion afterward.7. Any forms used from creatures that she doesn’t have a bond with will require much more energy and aether to not only take the form but maintain it. The lack of that bond makes things much more difficult.8. Each form she uses is chosen for a reason. They all have different advantages and disadvantages that are used strategically depending on the situation she’s in. She does not have forms from all of the animals she has tamed seeing as some wouldn’t be very useful. (i.e her small raptor)9. Due to how draining this technique can be, she can only use 1 animal type per fight. It’s possible to switch between partial and full, but changing to a completely new animal would be too much of a strain unless she pushes herself beyond her limits in a dire situation. It would still have some major consequences on her body afterward. (The only form that doesn’t follow this rule is the partial form from Jin seeing as it only lasts for a split second most of the time.)
The Coeurls
Shria has managed to tame two coeurls, a male and a female. They were the first large creatures that she had found, tamed, and raised herself (with a bit of help from more experienced beast handlers in her adoptive tribe). They were still fairly young cubs when she took them in. Ayanga, the female, is the older of the two and the one Shria found first. The coeurl's mother had been hunted down due to her killing local livestock. Khums, the male, was brought in not too long after when Shria took a trip to the Dravanian Forelands. He'd been picked up by poachers to be sold as an exotic pet. Thankfully Shria had been able to swoop in and steal him away before that could happen. The trio have been through a lot together over the years, helping them forge a strong bond. The two cats have also become parents to their own litter recently.
✧
Form Info/Use: Longest lasting of any of her forms due to their strong bond. It is also the easiest for Shria to use.
Token: A small glass vial full of coeurl fur
Form Types: Partial + Full

Ayanga's IC appearance
Partial Form
✧Appearance: Only legs & tail affected. Uses Ayanga’s coloration. Everything from her feet to hips change to appear as the legs of a coeurl. Claws are black and the color shifts from a teal-ish blue at the feet to the usual coeurl yellows at the hips. The scales go from foot to knee before shifting to fur that covers the thighs and hips. The fur has the usual coeurl rosette pattern. Her tail becomes longer to assist with balance and control while running. The only color change her tail is where it fades to the same teal color as the feet at the tip.
✧Benefits: Speed, Climbing, Improved vision in the dark
✧Distance from animal: Anywhere
✧Cons: None
✧Duration: Medium
Full Form
✧Appearance: Legs, arms, tail, back, and horns affected. Uses Khums’ coloration. Claws are white and the color is a solid black from the hands/feet to her elbows/knees where it shifts to a dark red. It then changes to solid white + black rosettes from her elbows/knees to her shoulders/hips. The scales and fur follow the same ratio as the partial form. Her horns grow about 2.5 inches and gain some red hues. When lighting is being used, sparks crackle around them. Black scales tipped with red stretch from the base of her skull down her spine to the base of her tail. Like in the partial form, her tail grows longer. The color it fades into at the tip is white, though.
✧Benefits: Speed, Climbing, Improved vision in the dark, Lightning magic + claw attacks
✧Distance from animal : Must be beside them/within close range due to the larger amount of aether needed.
✧Cons: Can cause aether exhaustion if magic is used too much or the form is kept up for an extended period.
✧Duration: Long (Ends if the coeurls move out of range)

Khums' IC appearance
The Hawk
WIP
✧
Form Info/Use: This is a purely utility form and has no combat abilities.
Token: Hawk feather
Form Types: Partial

Partial Form
✧Appearance: Change is minimal compared to all other forms. Sparse feathers appear on her cheeks and forehead, almost like a mask. The feathers are white on her cheeks and cheekbones. Any feathers along her eyes and forehead are a dull brown.
✧Benefits: Improved vision and hearing
✧Distance from animal : Anywhere
✧Cons: Terrible vision at night
✧Duration: Short
The Yol
WIP
✧
Form Info/Use: The form is mostly meant for travel but can be used in combat if needed. She can also carry one person, depending on their size, in her talons. This is also the second easiest form for Shria since she raised Luna herself.
Token: Feather specifically from the crest on Luna’s head
Form Types: Partial + Full
Partial Form
✧Appearance: Completely changes arms and legs. Shria’s arms shift to take on the form of large yol wings. Purple feathers cover her thighs to shins and she has large, white eagle-like talons for her feet. Small white feathers are also speckled around her cheeks and eyes.
✧Benefits: Improved vision, Flight, Talons
✧Distance from animal : Anywhere
✧Cons: Not very strong, cannot carry anything particularly heavy. Cannot travel far.
✧Duration: Short

Full Form
✧Appearance: Completely changes arms and legs. Also now affects her body size, head, and tail. Shria’s entire body grows by a few inches to help compensate for even larger (and more powerful wings). White and grey feathers cover her collarbone/chest area between her shoulders. Purple feathers fill in the same space on her back. Her legs remain the same as they are in partial form. The biggest changes are the crest of white feathers that reach from her forehead to the base of her skull in a mohawk fashion along with her tail changing to be that of a yol’s to aid with flight. All the feathers across her body are hues of purple and white.
✧Benefits: Improved vision, Flight, Talons, Much higher carrying capacity, Aero magic (both to help with flight/carrying and combat).
✧Distance from animal : Within sight, but required more feathers.
✧Cons: Still has a limit to how much can be carried. The entire form can be bulky/clumsy on the ground. Shria has to pay close attention to how much longer she has in this form to make sure she’s not in the air when it fades.
✧Duration: Medium
The Biast
WIP
✧
Form Info/Use: Shria’s newest companion. The form will be able to last longer as their bond strengthens. For now, it is fairly short-lived.
Token: One of the thick scales from Jin’s back that was shed off
Form Types: Partial + Full

Partial Form
✧Appearance: This form doesn’t change too much since it only lasts for a few moments. Shria’s own scales grow and thicken to cover a majority of her forearms and shins. Colorwise they shift from their usual dark purple to a dark brown. The scales cannot be pierced easily and soak up fire aether. A few small spikes grow on her eyebrow ridge and temples. If they are even seen, her teeth also become sharp and pointed.
✧Benefits: Fire resistance, High defense
✧Distance from animal : Anywhere
✧Cons: Only lasts for one hit against her.
✧Duration: Extremely short
Full Form
✧Appearance: The change for this form is much more drastic than the last. The scales still grow on her forearm and shins, though they also now spread to the outside of her upper arms and thighs. Her hands and feet become more reptilian along with her nails growing into razor-sharp claws. Spike-like scales grow in a number of places. Medium-sized ones run along the back of her elbows and side of her knees. They also appear on her eyebrows to form a ridge up onto the top of her head. The largest of the spikes cover her back and lead down to her tail where the scales there have flared out at the tip to mimic a biast tail. All the scales are a lighter brown while the thicker, stronger spikes are a dark brown. When fire is absorbed or used, the space between the spike-like scales and her claws glow a bright orange.
✧Benefits: Fire resistance, High defense, Fire magic/absorbing, Claw & tail attacks
✧Distance from animal : Within reach or riding Jin
✧Cons: Can overheat VERY easily if too much fire is absorbed or used. The large spikes are mostly inconvenient since they rip her clothes up. Also costs 2-3 scales even when right next to Jin (will improve as their bond does). Leaves Shria drained of aether afterward most of the time (this will also improve with the bond).
✧Duration: Medium (Ends if Jin moves too far away).
